Damage assessment
Damage assessment and preservation of evidence
Georisks, e.g. in the form of landslides or in the course of civil engineering or tunnel construction measures, repeatedly cause damage to buildings or infrastructure.
In order to assess building damage, deformations and water damage, the interaction between the structure and foundation must be evaluated in addition to examining the existing subsoil and foundation conditions. In particular, this requires knowledge of the construction methods used in special foundation engineering and tunnel construction.
We carry out both direct and non-destructive investigations for structural exploration. In addition to traditional surveying techniques, mobile and drone-supported laser scans and image capture techniques are also used in the course of monitoring. By integrating the data into digital twins, the structures can also be permanently monitored.
With our expertise in the fields of engineering geology, hydrogeology and geotechnics, we offer you a competent interdisciplinary assessment of damage, root cause analyses and advice on securing and remediation. We can also assist you as expert witnesses in court or mediation proceedings.
