Soil protection concepts

Soil protection concepts

In the case of major infrastructure measures in road or pipeline construction and larger "greenfield" construction projects, soil protection concerns must now be taken into account in addition to the assessment of excavated soil under waste legislation. Since January 2021, a soil protection concept in accordance with Section 2 (2) LBOVVO (Ordinance of the State Government, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment on the building law procedure) must be included with the building application for construction projects that affect more than 0.5 hectares of natural soil in Baden-Württemberg in accordance with Section 2 (3) LBodSchAG (Law on the Implementation of the Federal Soil Protection Act).

Based on this, DIN 19639 regulates soil protection in the planning and implementation of construction projects. This is intended to ensure both a comparable scope and a uniform quality of soil protection measures.

To this end, we explore, analyze and evaluate any topsoil and subsoil for you in advance and draw up a sensible soil protection and soil recycling concept for your construction project, both in inner-city areas and for infrastructure and development measures.

Our services include:

  • Preparation of soil protection concepts in accordance with DIN 19639
  • Creation of land utilization concepts
  • Investigations and expert reports in accordance with the Federal Soil Protection Ordinance
  • Advice for building owners in the context of preventive soil protection
