Stuttgart 21, PFA 1.1: New valley crossing with underground station
New construction of an eight-track, around 400 m long through station in an underground location in the center of the state capital Stuttgart, including the adjoining head structures (tunnel in open construction method) in difficult geological and hydrogeological boundary conditions.
Commissioned services
Support during construction from a geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical perspective:
- Checking the building ground model
- Technical supervision of special civil engineering measures
- Supervision and evaluation of pile test loads
- Geotechnical consulting in the course of implementation planning
- Technical advice in connection with measurement concepts for the new building and neighbouring structures
- Consultancy in connection with special measures for the management of cavities, sinkholes and water law requirements from the protection of medicinal springs in Stuttgart
- Finite element calculations and deformation predictions
- Development of verification concepts and actions in the earthquake load case
- Evaluation of execution and quality assurance concepts for earthworks and specialised civil engineering trades
- Earthworks testing
- Determination of dynamic soil parameters
